Our stay at AKA Alexandria Hotel was truly exceptional and one we will never forget. I traveled to DC with my daughter for her hip replacement surgery, and an unexpected winter storm extended our stay. What could have been stressful quickly became a blessing because of the extraordinary care, kindness, and professionalism of the AKA Alexandria team. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely supported and cared for. The staff went above and beyond—many even stayed at the hotel, away from their own families during the storm, to ensure guests were safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. That level of dedication and compassion is rare and deeply appreciated. The accommodations, amenities, and attention to detail were outstanding. The on-site cinema, wonderful food, and warm, welcoming atmosphere turned a difficult week into something memorable and comforting. It truly felt like a home away from home during a time when that mattered most. Leaving was hard, and I am incredibly grateful for the meaningful time I was able to spend with my daughter while staying here. If you are looking for a place that combines luxury, comfort, and heart, AKA Alexandria sets the standard. Thank you to the entire team for making such a lasting impact on our family.

Brief but lovely stay at hotel Alexandria. All features of the hotel were updated and modern from decor to tech. Particularly enjoyed the DC artwork with a modern twist. Rooms were spacious (notably plenty of bathroom counter space) with modern streaming features and espresso machines. Fantastic gym. Hotel staff were polite and extremely helpful with accommodations. Location proximity makes it walkable to old town which is ideal. Plan to return for a weekend getaway.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel AKA Alexandria on Friday night and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean, from the lobby to the guest rooms, everything felt fresh, modern, and well maintained. The atmosphere was relaxed and upscale, which made it perfect for a couples’ night. One of the best parts of the stay was the location. It’s within walking distance to restaurants, wellness spots, and major shopping, which made our evening effortless and enjoyable. We were able to park and simply explore. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it for a comfortable, convenient getaway in Alexandria.

Our stay at the AKA Hotel in Alexandria was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The level of hospitality and attention to detail truly set it apart. From the moment we arrived, Marvin at the front desk made us feel welcomed and valued!! We were in town to celebrate a 50th birthday party, so the patience he showed to every individual was top tier! The property itself was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. We are grateful for the outstanding hospitality and cannot wait to return. PS... if you're looking for a iron, you better watch a youtube or Tiktok on how to use the Conair Steamer :) lol this hotel is VERY modern,

I truly enjoyed my stay at Hotel AKA Alexandria. The staff were very hospitable, friendly, and helpful throughout my time there. Marvin at the front desk stood out, as he was so attentive and kind. The room was clean, warm, and beautifully decorated. I will absolutely be back!

It was a brief trip, but we had a great stay! The staff and valet were very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The bed was super comfy, and the room was nice and quiet. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay — 10/10 Recommend!

The Alexandria Hotel was such a special part of our wedding weekend and truly exceeded every expectation we had. Not only was it the perfect place for our wedding block, but it also became such an important part of our wedding day itself. We got ready there, took so many of our photos there, and even had our first look in their beautiful garden, which made the experience feel even more meaningful and memorable. What made everything truly exceptional was the staff. Every single person we interacted with made us feel so special and genuinely cared about making our experience perfect. Casalyn was incredible from start to finish — she communicated so well throughout the entire process, checked in consistently, and made everything feel seamless and stress-free. Isaiah and Marvin were also absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. The valet staff, especially Louie are so friendly as well. They made every guest feel so special. Our family and friends also had such a wonderful experience and could not stop saying how kind and welcoming everyone was. It is rare to find a place where every detail feels so thoughtful and every staff member makes such an impression. We feel so lucky to have had The Alexandria Hotel be such a meaningful part of our wedding and would highly recommend it to anyone planning a wedding weekend or room block. Every time we visit Alexandria we stay here and it exceeds our expectations.

Recently stayed her with my Dad on a week long father daughter trip in the area. This was a fantastic find and the hotel was a complete delight. The staff is first class all the way. Aaron the bartender was personable and amazing. He was so great that my Dad had to stop by the last night and have one more drink with him. The valet staff were super friendly in offering us umbrellas for our walk when it was supposed to rain, and Marvin at the front desk was extremely helpful. You will not be disappointed and you need to stay here if you are looking for a comfortable, first rate customer service, and stylish hotel.

My stay at Hotel AKA Alexandria was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The property itself is stunning — sleek, modern, luxurious, and incredibly clean. Everything was spotless from the hallways and lobby to the valet area, restaurants, and my room. You can truly tell the staff takes pride in maintaining such a beautiful atmosphere. What really made the experience unforgettable, though, was the customer service. Marvin, Amarri, and Nigel were all amazing and went above and beyond with every request and inquiry I had. Whether it was bringing additional towels promptly, delivering a microwave and bucket of ice to my room, or simply being welcoming and attentive throughout my stay, every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful. AKA stands out because it feels like more than just a hotel stay — it’s an experience. The combination of beautiful aesthetics and an incredible team creates such a memorable and elevated experience. Honestly, I have no notes or suggestions for improvement. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I cannot wait to return.
